The Screen was designed for the patio area on the southern side of the Thomas P. Murphy Design Studio building. This patio is visually open to a parking lot, which is not ideal. As a solution, artistic screens could be a visual barrier and gateway to the School of Architecture.
As a precedent for these screens, works by the artist Yayoi Kusama were studied. The screens comprise 8’0” x 8’0” modules, and four total modules are to be arranged on the site.
